COVID-19
An outbreak of a new strain of coronavirus was first reported in Wuhan, China. It has spread from mainland China through Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam to the rest of the world. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared the spread of the infection a pandemic. Seeking to distinguish the virus from the disease it causes, the WHO named the virus SARS-CoV-2, and the disease Covid-19.
My name is Brent Edwards, I have a background in technology including a MBA in data analytics. I have found it enjoyable to use my skills and hobbies, during this period of disarray, to research infectious diseases and create visualizations for Coronavirus. It is a unique opportunity to educate viewers in such an extreme point in time. I welcome any comments or feedback you may have, including the creation of dashboards relevant to where you are in the world.
Data Sources
